This month marks 5 years in missions for me! It’s pretty unreal to me that it’s already been 5 years. It has certainly flown by in the blink of an eye, and one or two year commitments that I used to think were soooo long are quite tiny now.
Over the next 31 days, I’m going to put up several posts around the topic of missions. It’s certainly on my heart with this blog to give a broader picture of what missions can look like. I think before I came into missions I didn’t have a clue as to the fullness that God intended for us to have in missions. I only saw the sacrifices and what I wouldn’t have.
Now after 5 years in missions, I can say that God’s revelations for me about missions has drastically changed my perspective.
Here are a few topics to look out for in the next month:
- 5 Things I Love About My Mission Field
- 5 Pivotal Lessons I’ve Learned in 5 Years of Missions
- 5 Surprising Things About Missions
- 5 Stories From Previous Students (Guest Blogs!)
If you have questions about missions, leave a comment and let me know. I’d love to either help you through the comments or a future post.
My hope is to inspire people for missions. There are sacrifices, yes, but there are also incredible and unforeseen blessings. We don’t do it for the blessings, or even the sacrifices, though. We do it for Jesus and because of The Great Commission.
