Baby Willingham: 25 Weeks

Thanks for playing along in my little poll last week. The results were pretty even, which just affirms that there’s a 50/50 chance of it being a boy or girl. Haha.

Today I went to a friend’s baby shower. She’s the one who is 10 weeks ahead of me. I was also sitting next to my other friend, and her 5-week old, who was 10 weeks ahead of Dieuwke.  It’s really incredible that we are all 10 weeks apart and that our babies will be so close in age. Such a fun season!

25 Week Rundown

Weeks Pregnant: 25 weeks

Baby is the size of a… CauliflowerIMG_3226

Food Cravings: Doughnuts, which after craving for nearly 2 weeks, I had some yesterday, and it was wonderful. Thanks husband for helping satisfy my pregnant cravings!

Food Aversions: Not much that I can think of at the moment.

Symptoms: Allergies. More insomnia. More tired.

New this week: Last Monday, we went to our first Birth and Parenting class. It was pretty fun and laid back for the first week. There are 9 total couples. I was the furthest from my due date, and there was one girl who was nearly 35 weeks pregnant. She said she may not make it to the end :) Then all the other ladies were somewhere between us. It’s kind of hilarious to see such a concentration of pregnant women all in one space. The dads are all hilarious, and it’s fun to see everyone getting new information and figuring this all out for the first time. The instructor’s name is Karen, and she’s been a midwife for 20 years and has been teaching the class for 16 years. That made me feel really good about the class knowing how much experience she has!

Also this week is the first week where I’ve noticed small things getting a bit harder. For example, I was in a training thing all day Thursday, and I was sitting at this little chair/desk thing. The desk part was pretty small, so I had to leave a lot of stuff on the floor. Bending down quite often to pick it up was getting tiring and really felt like I was squashing my little bean in there! Now that the bump is a bit bigger, I forget that I can’t squeeze between two chairs or whatever. No room for that haha.

I feel the baby kicking SO much, and now that baby is a bit bigger, I can feel it moving on both sides of my belly at the same time, which is pretty crazy.

Looking forward to: I’m looking forward to the continual cooler weather. This last week was mostly nice, and it’s been such a welcome change from the heat of summer. I know I’ve said it a million times, but I am SO glad this baby is coming in winter!

Miss anything? Sleeping on my stomach.

Exercise: Pilates!

Books I’m Currently Reading: I had to return the library books. I didn’t finish them all, which is ok. I still have a few books that I own and want to get through. I finished Bossypants, which I recommend. It’s pretty hilarious. I’ve just started to look at a book called Save Our Sleep that I bought at the Baby Markets a few weeks ago.
