I wonder if you will be a sweet, little lady or a super, cool dude…

I wonder if you will have heaps of hair like both of your parents did when they were born…

I wonder if you will be a little baby or a big baby or somewhere in between…

I wonder if you will pickup breastfeeding… will we work as a team or will it be challenging…

I wonder if you will be a chill baby or a bit colicky or high strung…

I wonder if the names I think are the frontrunners right now will still be there by the time you’re born…

I wonder if you will be full of energy and outgoing like your dad, or will you have your energy-filled moments but prefer a bit more of a quiet nature…

I wonder if you will enjoy music…

I wonder if you will have dark, straight hair like your daddy or will you have lighter, wavier hair like your mum… (My hair was nearly blonde as a baby/toddler)

I wonder what colour your eyes will turn out…

I wonder how you will fit in the mix of all the other little YWAM kids… a quiet observer maybe or a ring leader perhaps…

I wonder what things you will pick up quickly and what things will take you a bit more time, such as crawling or saying “mumma”…

I wonder what our days will look like once we settle into a bit of a routine…

I wonder if you will enjoy walks in your pram…

I wonder if you will be a super smily baby or a little harder to impress…

I wonder what I will be like as a mum…

I wonder what Robbie will be like a dad…

I wonder what it’ll be like to see my parents be your grandparents, even though I’ve already seen them in this role… I wonder what that will feel like…

I wonder what it’ll be like to take you on Base Retreat this year…or home for Christmas…

I wonder how our little flat will change once a third person starts living with us…

I wonder what it will feel like to have my own child after years of loving other people’s children and nieces and nephews…

There are almost daily “I wonders” that run through my mind. I am so excited for those wonders to become realities and discoveries and answers and YOU, little Bean. I can’t wait to meet you!
